Brainiac concept


Brainiac was born after General Zod corrupted the Brain InterActive Construct with a virus supplied by Darkseid. It was initially thought that the virus was designed to shut down Krypton's technologies, military and power plants to ready for an invasion from Apokolips. But the virus was actually a doomsday device which ultimately destroyed the planet through Brainiac. Unforseen was that the self-aware computer would save it's self before carrying out the heinous act by transferring it's intellect into a space craft and escaping. The limited craft drifted for two years before it finally crashed on the planet Colu. The wreck's technology was assimilated by the planets inhabitance where it turned into a planetary network that controlled all aspects of life leaving the Colus with a seeming utopian society. After 25 years Brainiac had managed to secretly construct a sophisticated Spacecraft and create a physical form from a hybrid mixture of technology and Colus DNA. All the while setting up the same core chain reaction that destroyed Krypton, replaying the virus' directive and moving on to another world to repeat the cleansing process.
